Hamster and cage chewing

Please god can you help us??

Our hamster is chewing the bars of her cage all evening all night and is driving us mad. She gets her teeth right in between the bars and twangs them like a bloody guitar it is like Chinese water torture listening to it constantly.

We bought her a bigger cage already it cost £70 with multiple levels she has boxes to climb in and things to chew, a wheel etc

We try to break the habit by bringing her out letting her wander but 2 minutes later she's twanging again. It's actually starting to stress me.

Don't know what else we can give her other than buying another cage with no bars but her last one was like that and she chewed a hole in It by her water bottle.

Our house is open plan we can't just shut a door and not listen to it don't know what to do for the best

Gaaaaaaah!!!!

I think whatever you put the hamster in, it will make a racket. We put ours (now sadly departed) in a second hand glass aquarium and was still bloody annoying. The free standing wheel used to bash against the side of the tank and trying to find somewhere suitable to hang the water bottle was tricky. Hamsters are generally nocturnal and chewing is pretty instinctive.

Tbh I don't think there is much you can do except move it somewhere in the house where it is less likely to disturb you.
