Hi, I was looking for some advice please from people in the UK.

I’m pregnant. Prior to getting pregnant I was a daily weed smoker and I used to enjoy a good drink, but stopped before TTC. I haven’t touched anything since being pregnant.

My worry is that I know someone whose close family member works for social services, and the family member who works for them knows that I used to smoke and drink.

Will social services now investigate me when this person finds out I’m pregnant and take my baby, because of my previous lifestyle?

Any advice would be appreciated as I’m really worried and unable to enjoy the pregnancy as I’m so worried I will lose my baby! Thank you!

My Dd smoked weed regularly prior to pregnancy. She discussed this with at her intial GP appointment and also with her midwife. They were supportive and non-judgemental and talked about if she may experience any withdrawal effects. She did a couple of random drug tests to demonstrate she wasn't still smoking it, and nothing more was said really. She's now pregnant with a 2nd Dd and it hasn't even been mentioned as its no longer relevant. Everyone has a past and so long as you aren't doing anything that could pose a risk to the baby they shouldn't judge you on it. Congrats on your pregnancy Flowers
