girl's christmas dresses

I know it is a long way away but i want to buy girls dresses in age range 3-5, with long sleeves, not knitted, ideally thick cotton or jersey, quite old-fashioned/traditional in style and suitable to wear to restaurants/adult 'gatherings' (like christenings, grandmas party etc) for rest of the year.
last year i achieved this from verbeudet, but this year they don't seem to have it.
any suggestions? not too expensive please (and boden isn't quite smart enough for what i want)
all ideas gratefully recieved.

Hi Greygirl,

Have you come across Janie and Jack- they ship internationally and have some lovely Christmas outfits for girls.

www.janieandjack.com
or www.gymboree.com

Dupareil Au Meme is similarish to verbeudet and there is always monsoon although hard to find dressy dresses that do not look like flowergirl dresses.

HTH's

A.

Hi

The thing with J&J is that the have great sales so I nearly always wait for the sale and never have a problem with getting the right size etc...

The dress I have my eye on is about $90 so about 60E which is not tooo bad for a special occasion dress - I also a have the added bonus of being able to pass it on :-)

I also meant to say that my favourite favourite is Jacadi - I am not sure if they have a shop in the Uk but its a french store with v traditional beautifully made children's
clothes

Happy shopping...

DD had a No added sugar long sleeved red cotton dress last year that was the perfect christmas dress.

It was flared to the knee with the bustle detail at the back in purples.

It looked lovely but she only wore it twice as I 'saved' it for Christmas day/family party and then afterwards she went through a stage of refusing to wear dresses.

I think I bought it in the next size in the sale, will have to have a look as it was gorgeous but won't fit now.

I haven't seen any others this year so far that are really lovely.
