Skinny jeans

Can you wear them if you're not skinny?

I'm hourglass I suppose but a 12/14.

Feel like I need to step away from the bootcuts which I've been wearing for years but am very scared/dubious.

Any opinions?

I have some skinny jeans and I too am a 12-14 hourglass.
But I wear them with long boots because I don't like the way they are just so tight at the bottom.
I think as long as you wear something relaively loose on top it looks fine, though as an hourglass you'd need to be careful it's not too loose or you'll look huge and you need to show your shape!

Maybe you can wear some atraight leg jeans I have some of those too and they look ok if worn with pumps, but sometimes I feel very old wearing them when I see the teenagers in their skinnies!

Trying to avoid going to the shops with dcs in tow and trying things on!

The only way to get some decent jeans is to try loads of different styles on in different shops I'm afraid. Even different pairs in the same size can fit differently.
