Style Gurus: Who makes half decent trousers?

I need some trousers for work. I am quite active at work and I desperately in need good looking trews. I don't like them tight - relaxed fit, well cut and decent quality.

I am a size 8 regular (I say) but size 8 in Marks' and Sainbury's are too big.

Did I say that I am now desperate?

I used to be a small 8 & the only two places that made trousers that really fit were Zara & H&M. Not sure where they fit on the quality scale but H&M do a range of cotton trousers with lots of stretch in lots of colours & my size 6, 6 ft tall bf swears by them. Unless you Have cash to flash in which case Hugo Boss is the shop for you.

Mid range I love Reiss & like their sizing. I think it is far better fitting for those of us who aren't pear shaped. Their clothes are good quality too.

I went wild in M&S on line and ordered loads of trousers I thought looked surprisingly good quality but alas they're all going back (8 pairs!)

I am no longer a size 8 but do let me now if you find any nice trousers out there. I am always looking & seem to find it impossible to find any I like & fit properly. Jeans, leggings & dresses .

Monsoon do trousers - I have quite a few pairs that are at least 3 years old and still look good. Oh and French Connection too.

well I never got to read any of the messages before I went but having only one child free hour and not unlimited budget I walked into TopShop and their size 8s fit me! hurrah! unfortunately everything is polyester/viscose but I had to buy them. I am avg height so Zara, FC, H&M are always too long. Size 8 in M&S is too big for me.

Gap stuff fits me but I only have an outlet near me and they never seem to have more dress up stuff in there.

Never heard of Reiss but Will have to look them up online.

If anyone is looking for Hello Kitty stuff for little girls and big girls, H&M has loads.
