Winter coats for children - warm and waterproof

Ideally I'd like the lining to be detachable, but that's not crucial. Mostly, I want something with a hood that will keep them dry but that will also work on the really cold days of the year. I quite like the look of the mini Boden fleece-lined anoraks but a) they are quite expensive and b) would they be warm enough?

We have the fleece lined anorak and the two-in-one padded jacket. The two in one is much more attractive in RL. Both are warm but the two-in-one is thicker/warmer.

The fleece lined one will probably be warm enough to see her through all winter especially when you add layers underneath but is definitely lighter than the other.

I got the two-in-one as a 20% off deal of the day with the £10 off too which made it £26 so I got this as her school coat but it looks equally cute as a gilet.

If buying from Boden don't forget the £10 off wys £30 code to bring the cost down.

I haven't looked at Next etc yet in store but the directory did not inspire me.

Don't think the Boden ones are waterproof. What about muddypuddles or raindrops? Raindrops sell Scandinavian winter clothing so they're bound to be both warm and waterproof.
