This is not meant to sound like gloating, I am told I look too skinny and at my age that is a trifle aging. Combined with lack of sleep I look like a right old crone

yep, 12 stone at the beginning of pregnancy, then had 9 months of constant, to the point of hospitalisation, morning sickness, 9 stone after delivery.

Wouldn't wish that diet plan on anyone

I think it's the lack of sleep, breastfeeding, sheer hard work of babies/toddlers, it definitely keeps the weight at bay doesn't it? Also stress.

Are you eating well? Are you getting enough rest?

Gallstones another painful and unpleasant way to lose weight, ime.

About two stone lighter than pre-DS, down to about 9.5 stone which is quite light for me. Only problem is that my once bouncy D cups are now empty and sad little sacks . Also have a big jelly belly so not time to show off just yet!

My mum was size 16 pre kids and size 10 after 3.

Yes...although probably not for long as I'm pg again . But I'm sure my face is looking thin and wrinkly .
My mum got thinner and thinner after each of her babies and after number 4 was eating a family bar of Yorkie a week to try and put weight on. It must have been the combination of the stress of all those children and breastfeeding the youngest one.

I was a size 10 pre DD and a size 8 after. I got very very thin after birth (probably at thinnest between 6 and 9 months) and I think I looked quite unwell and haggard but I've put on a bit in recent months and, even though I'm still a size smaller than before, I think I look a bit healthier and "filled out".
I put my weight loss down to a combination of stress, breastfeeding, PND, and having very little support in looking after DD so not finding time to look after myself properly.

was determined to get back to my pre pregnancy weight of 9st 6lbs really quickly as i put 3 stone on due to pre eclampsia. Was in hospital 6 weeks b4 and 6 weeks after as they could not get my blood pressure down from its dangerously high level. Ended up doin exercises and pelvic floor thingys 3 hours after having him and breast feeding to helpd skrink my tummy. I cud feel my tummy muscles goin back as I breast feed initially.

My friend did. She was breastfeeding and she got thinner and thinner, while her baby was the fattest baby I have ever seen - all the fat literally transferred from her to her DD! After stopping bf though, she went back to normal (and her DD is also normal-looking now, at 3).

I would get too skinny because of bf-ing if I didn't eat copious amounts of chocolate and cake each day. I went back to my pre-pg weight within a week of my DD's birth, and actually dipped below it in the first month.

Not skinny but I'm two stone lighter and a dress size smaller than before I had DS. I lost the weight really quickly after he was born by breastfeeding, going on lots of walks so he'd sleep in the buggy and generally not having time to eat!

Plus, I do think that pregnancy did something to my metabolism. Same thing happened to my mum when she had my sister (her first baby). Mum got smaller and smaller while sis got bigger and bigger!

Yep, although I'm not any skinnier than I was before I had the DCs - but, at 37, I weigh the same as I did 20 years ago, and am a size 6 - definitely due to having kids (and throwing up constantly while pregnant), running around after the little blighters, worrying about them, etc etc Oh the joys!

Didn't happen to me but my friend was a size 12 before having her son, and is now a size 6/8. She's quite big boned so looks terribly thin. She doesn't like it and thinks she looks old and scraggy.

yep, have definitely ended up skinnier after each subsequent baby. Am pg with dc3 at the mo, so fingers crossed that it happens again.... on the hand, I will be 37 at the end of the year and probably reaching the point where I have to choose between my arse and my face ....
