Me! I was so skinny, that I used to wear my snood as a tube skirt too. That was also the time I used to think I was fat

Me too !!

I was like a walking stick. I had such skinny jeans too that my dad used to call me Max Wall.

Aaah the days .... (fondly rubbing the the middle age spread that is spreading whilst trying to reminisce )

I had a little black one... Worn with matte black tights and a puffy, flowery top - beeeeuuutiful! (not)

Me. I had one in peacock blue with matching stillettos and plastic jewellery. Also had a long cloth coat that I wore it with in the same colour.

Oh and white fabric boots.

We were so stylish even then ... weren't we !

I had a yellow one

Which I wore with flat white dolly shoes and ankle socks with yellow and orange on them

And a yellow baseball jacket

How my Mother ever let me out the house without doubling over with laughter I'll never know.

Oh meeeeeeeeeee! I wore mine to school with thick black tights and doc martin shoes .

I loved it and I was soooooooooo thin then, with hindsight. Although at the time I thought I was fat! Really annoyed with myself about that.

Somehow i don't think I'll be wearing one this time around?

I had an ankle length white one. Worn with turqoise crop top and white bat wing jacket.

Skirt so tight I had to shuffle in manner of incontinent geisha.

Happy times.

I had a bright red ankle length one too,

My yellow one was ankle length, was when I was about 12/13, so 23+ years ago, urgh.

As a student I had lots of bottom skimming ones I wore with thick black tights and DM's.

Oh yes, ankle length was 12/13 years old.

From around 15 years I did tiny black skirt, wool tights, DM boots (which I never did up).

Was also horribly skinny.

Oh weren't we all so trendy with our skirt, tights and DMs . I'm guessing we're all round about the same age? I'm 33!

Now did any of you wear boyish baggy shirts with them? The trend in our school was to wear these shirts tucked into the skirts, pulled out a little bit at the waist. Oh and I think we had bowl haircuts at the time too .

I imagine this was not a magnificent look, especially given that in 1st/2nd year I was a 32D bra size!

Oh and the school tie on normally at the top but then the rest of the tie tucked in and hidden behind the first button down so you could only see the knot. Or worn back to front so you only had the skinny bit of the tie out and the thick bit tucked in. The teachers used to go nuts!!!!

yy to tie and massive school shirt

Am 36, so a bit older than you.

Wish I could get away with ass skimming skirts these days, would be fun for the school run

Report
Lizzylou · 23/06/2009 14:04

OOh, yes, big wide white belt too

Report
suwoo · 23/06/2009 14:45

I did the massive school shirt and skinny tie. With my 30E boobs, I looked gorgeous

It didn't really matter though as my school shirt was torn off me most days by the boys keen to get a look at my fabulous breasts . That didn't fuck up my head for many years to come then....oh no.

Flippin 'ec, that bring back memories.

We used to ge the material from the market, a yard and a half I think, and make a really long one, down to the ankles, and a mini. We had them in about 8 different colours, from electric blue, cerise, black obv, and a myriad of fluorescent colours.

We just oozed style in the 80's
