What footwear to replace my long, fur-lined boots?

... I've become really fond of my flat, suede boots but they're long and fur-lined so will soon have to hibernate for the summer. Question is, what to replace them? I mainly wear them with jeans (and long skirts). Imagine I'll wear sandals with jeans but what when it's wet/cold (this is Britain we're talking about) ... any boots in for the summer or would that be totally out of the question. Would love some ideas please.
