I like the look of the cord trousers (the Calamity Jane-alikes) and the stripy cardi. Dh said it looks a lot more girly this time, with all the kaftanny things.

I fancy this skirt.

The strapline 'Lovely Clothes for Lovely People' is amking me queasy.

and I do like a nice tank top

I was tempted by tank tops too, but probably wrong on someone not flat chested,no ?

I am by no means flat chested, but am not huge. As long as the neck is low enough I think they're ok.

I'm liking this with mustard tights and brown high lace ups

I love that pattern, maid, but style would not suit me

I like the Tunics and Kaftans. Had two from the summer range and wore them loads,so will get a winter one I think.

I fancy www.whitestuff.com/selected_sku/505120238507/POSITIVELY-YOURS-DRESS-P23980/ or www.whitestuff.com/selected_sku/505120234211/MIDNIGHT-FEAST-DRESS-P23295/ - definitely want the cardi www.whitestuff.com/DAYS-OF-YORE-CARDI-P23248/, quite tempted by the www.whitestuff.com/selected_sku/505120233594/VIVRE-LA-CARDI-P23740/ and would like most of the kaftan type tops and the calamity jane cords. Only problem is my bank manager would throw a hissy fit! Ah well, I can dream!

Ohhh Bobbie, I'm going to have to ring Johnny and tell him you've been a traitor!

Oh, please don't maidemess. He gets very jealous. And he's relying on me to pay for his extension.

maidamess · 07/09/2008 17:09

Yes and he will start sending you those fawning leaflets 'Have we done something to upset you? Why havent you ordered from us for a while?'

I love those.

I feel I am toying with him.

Which I am sure devastates him, as he sits there eating money, on his chair made of money, in his house made of money.

Yes indeed.

I had to ring Boden up and ask them to stop stalking me. It was getting ridiculous.

I've got the same problem with Emma Bloody Bridgewater. Will that woman stop sending me catalogues? Will she heck.

At least you're not getting stalked by Peruvian Connection.

Took me bloody years to shake that lot off. I kept expecting to open my front door and find a gang of Peruvians in ponchos playing the pan pipes at me till I agreed to buy something.

We ended up moving.

I get three catalogues from Boden every couple of months - one to my name, one to a variant spelling of my name, and one to the woman who used to live here. I'm considering taking out an injunction.

What on earth is The Peruvian Connection? is it music, or clothes? or some kind of dating service?

Report
Bobbiewickham · 07/09/2008 17:28

Heinous clothes, made out of alpaca wool.

It's like Per Una on acid.

maidamess · 07/09/2008 17:30

Ye gods! How expensive is that stuff!

Report
Bobbiewickham · 07/09/2008 17:31

I know.

More money than taste would just about cover it, I feel.
