Some of it is but I thought some of the kids stuff was good value in the sale and I like the odd thing in the women's too www.joulesclothing.com/category/Womens%5FSkirts.htm

Hi Welshmum! Good to see you around again.

My impression is general Mumsnet concensus is that Joules has taken over from Boden in terms of quality and nice/fun clothes. Many are increasingly unhappy with Boden, and have migrated to Joules.

I've never bought from either, but am sure that someday I will be tempted out of my fence sitting!

Looking at the current Joules offerings, nothing grabbed me at all- could have been BHS, M&S, anyone- didn't seem distinctive in any way.

Convince me otherwise?

It's not one of these "buy a lifestyle" sites is it- like Boden ( guilty of buying lots fromthem)!

I've bought a few things for the children from there. Been tempted by a few dresses for me but I just know they'd be too short in the waist so I didn't bother. From what the DCs have had it's good quality. Never bodened in my life so can't compare.

Love the children's wellies but suspect my children would snigger if I tried to put them in pretty wellies these days.

Doesn't fry my onion.

Although I will confess I do possess some Boden stuff and am quite taken with some of the merino offerings for this Autumn. To wear with jeans, not 'flippy skirts', though.

Got a few bits for the kids over the last few years. My daughter loves the wellies and they are really well made and good value. In fact have just phoned them to see when their Autumn stuff comes out so I can get her a new pair (end August by the way ). Both DC had the towelling robes this year and they are lovely, still look like new having been completely lived in on holiday. Sizes seem to come up quite roomy, both my DC quite tall but DD still in an age 4-5 dress from last year. Did order her a dress for this year but to get the length OK on her it was far too wide. Ordered an age 4 T-shirt for big 3yr old DS and have put it away for next year as it is more age 4! Some of it is too 'logoed' and twee for me though. The kids polo shirts remind me of Hacket. Womens stuff just not me, although a friend has last year's waterproof jacket and its lovely. This year I didn't like the colours so much for their waterproof stuff. Def worth a look as is anything. Just pick out what you like. When I have had to phone them they are lovely on the phone, really down to earth, friendly and helpful.

Lots more on Boden that I like for myself and probably more for DC as well. I think Joules is better quality.

i sent for the capri trouser things, they were vast and it takes them three weeks to process a return.

there is not enough variety either, everything is in the same three colours / prints.

Well....interestingly enough (not really but it is a quiet Monday here) I wandered into their shop in Southwold drawn by the 50% off sign. I bought a skirt,a top, shorts and a scarf for me, skirt, t shirt and hoodie for dd, t shirt for ds and shirt for dh. All of it really cheap and really good quality...
It's definitely a 'buy a lifestyle' kind of thing but I was really quite pleased at some of the quirkier stuff - some is, I'll grant you, quite grim but a Topshop loving girl like me went surprisingly mad.

Earlybird hello! Have been worryingly kept too busy at work to get on MN often enough but August now, so a bit quieter.

I love the kids sweaters/polos, prefer the girls stuff to the boys. I have a few of the tops, the long polo and i have the swimsuit which really sucks you in.

i love joules stuff.
especially the sweat shirts, jumpers and coats.
the kids stuff is ace, really nice, washes well, but a little expensive for buying all the time.

Have never bought it,seems a bit 'yacht club' meets 'lady golfer' particularly the tee shirts.
Have to confess I do buy Boden, but carefully!
