12 hour shifts - what shoes?

I've bought Skechers and Clarks and cheaper versions of both. I'm a registered nurse, I have had Covid and am left with the long term effect of Covid toe. Can anyone, anywhere, recommend a comfortable shoe that doesn't cost a fortune? Skechers don't work for me post Covid and Clarks just aren't right anymore.

I used to work in a Clark’s near a hospital, loads of the nurses used to buy Ecco shoes (black lace up) they are not something you’d wear for a night out, but they are supposed to be very comfortable & most of the staff from the hospital swore by them

Crocs?
I have issues with my knees and back, and my feet swell in the summer - and crocs are a total joy to put on.
Granted, I don't wear them for work as I'm a teacher, but the first thing I do when I arrive home is to get these bad boys on.
Utter bliss.

Josef seibel are ace. Most styles have room in the toe and they are soft and supportive enough for a long shift. If they're over your budget you could get some in the sale. 😊

Crocs, or primark trainers. Honestly the £8 ones from Primark are the comfiest work shoes I've worn in years!

I’ve just bought the nike air pulse trainers which were designed by nurses, they kind of remind me of crocs but more secure, wipeable etc and I’ve found my feet and legs hurt a lot less after a 12.5 hour day on placement!

DMs were the most comfortable I ever wore for working 12-14 hour shifts.

I just want to say thank you for all that you have done during the covid pandemic I can't imagine what it must have been like for you (and I say that as an ex nurse) Flowers

I got a pair of £40 Nike trainers. They are just plain black with the tick logo.
They are brilliant! It's like I'm walking on air plus the material means my feet don't get hot.

I’m doing 12 hour shifts now after being retired for a few years. Am wearing Skechers and my feet have been fine, no aching legs etc.
