hate to put a downer on this, but is 'really tight fitting and sexy' appropriate for work?

The other thing to do is to get a dress&jacket suit, as these often look sexier than a skirt without actually being any more revealing.

Or get a suit in a bold colour - even if it's no clingier than a black one of the same cut, a red suit, for example, will be much more attention-grabbing.

what kind of place do you work?

only if you're in your 20s and want to be taken seriously then you shouldn't flash your legs. A well cut black trouser suit is more professional (means people listen to you rather than think about what you're wearing) and says you take your job seriously.

or go wrap dress stylee - much more stylish and figure hugging without saying "hello these are my bosoms"

How about a pencil skirt, knee length - they can look very sexy in a subtle way, wear with heels.

Massimo Dutti do v feminine suits - nipped in waists and straight fitted skirts. They're sexy but in a restrained way. I'm a management consultant and I have one that's definitely appropriate for all my v conservative clients - the skirts aren't too short. It's more of a Spanish/Italian look that a UK suit.

If you're after less restrained and shorter skirts, I don't know I'm afraid!

If you want sexy, you obviously don't want to be taken seriously, imo. I work mainly with men in a technical environment and I'm credible because I dress professionally, not like a bimbo.

Similarly with the men - if they want to be taken seriously, they wear a suit, not jeans and tee-shirt.

So really think about why you want a sexy suit.

I think it does depend on the industry though. I used to work for a big media company and the women often used to dress in a way that would be considered to be totally inapproriate to where I work now. There was one v senior exec in charge of enormous budgets and v high profile brands with a mind like a steel trap who was definitely foxy in extremis in style. Also I have a hedge fund friend who lives in nipped in pinstriped suits and she looks swoony in them and gets VAST respect as she earns her clients a fortune.

Also you can do quietly sexy in a low key kind of way. A well cut trouser suit with no tight bits or flesh showing can still look sexy. It's tarty that's totally inappropriate in my book and will keep you stuck in the typing pool.

i work in media and when in london I'd have had to have had words with any young lady in a very short/sexy ensemble. It just does you down in the long term.

different in the middle east where a short skirt will get all manner of trouble

What everyone else has said. 'Tight-fitting and sexy' not for work. You don't need to be that obvious if you want to look attractive.
