Help me find a crossbody bag and warm gloves?

I have Raynauds syndrome and I need some really warm gloves but ones I can still use my hands in if anyone can recommend some, I also want a crossbody bag so I don’t have to use my hands and can keep them warm, I find shoulder bags need hoicking up a lot.

I can’t even think about gloves in this heat, what colour crossbody are you after? There were lots of ideas on this recent thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/3643154-Cross-Body-Bag-for-Holiday

I guess there’ll be new stuff coming into the shops soon, I’m not sure but is leather warm for gloves? Maybe silk lined.

my mum has this, she uses leather gloves and a thick fluffy arm warmer over the top so it covers the bottom of her fingers but she can still use the ends.

or the thinsulate ones are really thick and toasty, they do socks too if you struggle with feet aswell.

crossbody bags I like my Primark ones, I have a variety of colours they last v well and I've chucked them in the washing machine too a couple times a year. I don't like leather as it's v heavy before even putting stuff in!

Thanks, perhaps I’ll try leather gloves, I need to keep my hands warm but still be able to move my fingers. I’ll look for arm warmers to. Lots of great ideas on that bag thread to go through, I definitely want leather.

Leather gloves with a cashmere lining. Try Dents. They have supple leather. I think M&S have some decent cross body bags. Try them on line.

My friend has Raynaud’s, she wears sheepskin mittens from Celtic&Co.

I think sheepskin might be too bulky although very warm. Dents are £139 expensive but I guess great quality, I’d just hate to lose one.

What's the bag budget?

Look for silk liner gloves to go inside another pair.

If you are happy to have the more utilitarian look, gloves for horse riders are warm, waterproof, and flexible.

Probably £50 ish for a bag, I’m leaning towards one of the recommendations. Liners are a good idea.

I’m going out for an early meal now but I’ll read back later. Thank you all.

If you're near an outlet centre like Bicester it could be worth looking there? Often have great deals on pages; I got a Michael kors one there for about £80 from £220!!

Hi OP
I also have Raynaud's. I wear wrist warmers - one pair in house, and two pairs layered for outside.
I get a couple of pairs a year from Turtle Doves. They're not cheap but they are cashmere and worth it.
Even in hot weather my fingers go white sometimes! Apparently you can take Viagra to control it!!

I can recommend m&s for a lovely leather cross body bag. I think it's on the link above. If sheepskin are too thick, try to get silk glove liners as they give an extra layer as well as being warm.

I’ve never heard of viagra to help it, my fingers get stiff enough! I think I’ll try wrist warmers as they get stiff plus silk liners under leather. I’d love the dents ones but they are very expensive although I’ll keep them in mind. I’ve gone for two of the camila bags linked one black one red , the reviews are good. They sell silk liners on Amazon but I’m a bit uncertain about the quality. It’s 3 fingers of one hand that I suffer with and I suspect a toe is going the same way. It’s miserable and as someone else said even in hot weather sometimes, getting ice out of the freezer needs at least a tea towel wrapped around my hand.

If you are anywhere near Warminster in Wiltshire, make a beeline for the Dents factory shop.... everything in all the colours, right up to full-arm length opera gloves, at between £15 and £50.

Or possum-merino fingerless gloves from NZ. The warmest, even wet, but not hardwearing. About £14. Lots of colours on some sites.

Sheepskin gloves aren't as bulky as the mittens. I get mine from Celtic but they are expensive. Last well though.

Apparently it's about poor blood circulation and the Viagra helps with that.

Not that I've tried it though 😀

I buy cashmere lined leather gloves often available on eBay or John Lewis for around £50
If you get correct size then they are quite user friendly
I got some Dents from HOF on an offer a while ago

I've a pair of crochet wrist warmers I've just finished. I wanted to post them to you to add to your collection. If they're not for you, you can just pass them to a charity shop or someone else. I randomly make them and give them to people all the time xx
