Art shoes

I'm after a pair of simple slip on neutral shoes that I can wear day to day to look a bit smarter than my tatty old trainers. I found these but think they tread a fine line between funky and frumpy....I can't decide and they would be an expensive mistake to make even in the sale.

I'm not looking for cutting edge fashion but don't want to look frumpy either, just sonething I can slip on for the school run or nipping to the shops.

What do people think? And has anyone ordered from Art before? They are based in Spain, not sure if I can find a UK supplier for this shoe.

Thank you!

I'm surprised they are women's shoes, they look like men's shoes. I don't find them very nice, but everyone's taste is different.

They're definitely treading a fine line but I think they're falling on the frumpy side. Especially for the price. Why don't you just get some new trainers instead? I don't like VANS but something along those lines would look much better.

The idea of wipe clean leather appealed to me (rather than cleaning round laces etc) I'm happiest in the winter when I can live in my leather boots, but a bit warm for even a scottish summer.

You can get slip on vans and I'm sure they have some that are leather or leather look.

Frumpy. Check out Hotter. They can be frumpy too but also some comfy casuals.

I'm not sure those can get away with 'interesting' even in Scotland. Leather Vans are the way to go. Washing machine, too.

I definitely wouldn't be going out of my way ordering these from Spain. Have you looked at Ecco? They are quite good for leather casual shoes. Some are monstrous but some aren't.

I wear Toms for just shoving my feet in and going out.

I have had boots from Art before and they were amazing. So comfortable. They are Spanish I think so be careful of sizing - I am a UK 7 bit a 6.5 was perfect for me so consider sizing down, they are great for wide feet.

Frumpy
How about leather toms?
I have a black suede pair and a pale grey pair - very comfy - I prefer them to Skechers even

I love them. But would prefer a different colour.

I love them and don't think they're frumpy at all. El Naturista has a similar style.

I really don't see the appeal of Tom's,I always think they look tatty and cheap personally.

I have Art boots. They do wear well although mine come up abit small. Get them Amazon for returns purposes.
Those don’t look great though. I wear a light gold pair from Dune. I brought a second pair this year and found them in white ( new from eBay). The light gold goes with everything.

I like them although the colour is probably the most practical? (too light, will mark easily etc.)

I have two pairs of Art sandals and they are amazingly comfortable and seem to be holding up to lots of wear.

I've got a pair of sandals from Art. I've never worn them as I find the toe post uncomfortable but they appear to be very good quality.

My wife wears Art shoes, they are comfortable and hard wearing.
However we both like chunky shoes and sandals, I wear Oxygen, DMs and El Naturalista

I did laugh at the suggestion of Hotter as an alternative. I have arthritis in my foot and ankle and it looks as though I may have to go down the Reiner/Hotter route. I am not happy, my feet look like my Nanna's did!

Look at Raw shoes they have some bargains

Red or Dead still worth a look for those who need wide fit ones....

My most comfortable shoes ever are my Conker ones. Expensively but worth it- handmade
