Cheek fillers?

Anyone had cheek fillers, and what was the result?
I have read that they have the effect of slightly lifting face [jowls ]
Thinking of having them soon, but not a lot of fillers i have small face and would look like a hamster if too much

I have them and yes they did lift my face slightly, but only a little. They pulled out my nasolabial folds a tiny bit - I was advised by the injector against injecting straight into these as it can make the face look heavy and older.

I had 2ml in the 'pads' of the cheeks and cheekbones. Love the result and would have 3ml next time. I look more like I did 6 or 7 years ago and nobody has noticed I've had fillers but I have been told I look good.

I'm 40, for context.

Monkey thank you , for your reply,do you mean its best to have them in the upper part of your face,i have a slight drooping of nasolabial fold on one side so hoping to correct that, but not very jowly at all
I use a Nu face microcurrent device every night and i think that has kept jowls at bay a bit, but i am much older than you, just hoping for a bit of a lift,how long do they last approx, ?

Yes, that's what my injector said and she is very experienced and a GP so I took her guidance.

Cheek fillers last 7-8 months or so, maybe up to a year.

My advice would be to get a free consultation with a medically-qualified person at a reputable clinic. If you are in the South West I can recommend one.

I have an appointment now with a recommended dentist who is very experienced in fillers and botox etc, she also does thread lifts, but i am not going as far as that, my daughter has had one, a few years ago, and doesnt think much to it, and i believe some plastic surgeons dont recommend it either

Update; had my cheek fillers yesterday,i am really pleased with my new look, as i have a small face i didnt have a lot of filler, but very pleased with the result,
The lady i went to is a dentist, and knows facial nerves etc, also does aqlifting procedure upperneck and jowls with a kind of mesh, my daughter has had this, and pleased with it, my turn next

HappenstanceMarmite although i am pleased with them, she wants me to go again in 4 weeks, to have more put in, as she doesnt put a lot in the first time, rather than too much,
I can see why now the bit of swelling has gone down, but it means another payment,
I do appreciate why, and dont want them overfilled, but because i am older i have lost a lot of fat from my face
I can pm you the dentists name but it might depend where you are
I have made another appointment in 3 weeks, but it was even difficult for me to get in,
I am in North Yorkshire by the way
I have full confidence in this lady and i agree its better to have a smaller amount to start with

I am going back to have more filler next month, but on one side which has a bit of droop, is where i will have more. i am hoping the extra filler will sort that,as it is the main reason i went for fillers
Can i ask how much is a usual charge for about 2 ml please
I am generally pleased with what was done but that side does need a bit more

Sorry, I just saw you’d asked for details of the SW contact. It’s Dr Ros Debenham at Radiance Medispa in Exeter. There’s a free consultation and I paid £550 for 2ml. This is expensive but I wanted someone respected and well qualified and she is both.

Monkey did you have only the one lot of injections? i was a bit miffed at having to pay twice to be honest, as i thought surely the practitioner can tell how much they have put in and if more needed at the time of treatment

A friend of mine had this procedure and I have to say it made her look really puffy. It didn’t look great at all. I’d really research this

Maybe your friend had too much put in,or in the wrong area,when first done it looks a bit puffy but after a couple of days the slight swelling goes downor maybe she didnt need it ,or had too much put in,
I only had it done because of losing my fat pads in my cheeks , due to ageing
