Anyone had lipo? How long did the bruising last

I'm having lipo on my neck soon (tumesent liposuction).

I know everyone responds differently, but how long did your bruising last and how bad was it? I'm trying to figure out how long I need to stay away from other people!

Thanks

I had Lipo on the my legs and the bruising was horrific - I looked like I'd been in a serious accident. Took a month to fully disappear. But I imagine on your neck it wouldn't be as bad but definitely give it a couple of weeks to settle down.

Thanks. Although feeling scared now!

Were you happy with the results in the end?

Yes, delighted @BlueandBlack! It was a tough month of recovery, but well worth it. Good luck!

That's great to hear. Did you have it just with local anaesthetic? That's what I'm doing.

I know it'll look good, just wish I could fast forward a month Smile

Not me but a close relative had lipo on tummy and hips. Bruising lasted about a month. Make sure you have someone to help you get home from the clinic - I went to pick my relative up and they were shuffling along and really uncomfortable moving about. Good results though.

My daughter had it on her neck over a year ago, the bruising didnt last too long about 2 weeks i think, but ut is still healing, it takes time, and i dont think it looks good,it looks lumpy, but the surgeon said it would until it had healed properly,
Sorry dont want to put you off, everyone is different
The first surgeon she saw refused to do it,said all she neede was to lose some weight

I had mine under general as it's pretty major surgery when it's on legs. It took about a year for me to see the full results as the swelling was considerable but I'm really happy with the results.

BlueandBlack i had forgotten until mentioned your post to my daughter today, that she had lipo on her neck,[assumig you mean under your chin] that after the lipo her skin was saggy so she then had to have it tightened, hence the lumpiness
Or do you mean on your actual neck? not under chin

No, not my neck lovemylover - some fat from under my chin. I should have been clearer!

I've been looking more at reviews where people complain of lumpiness and most seem to say it's because they didn't massage the tissue enough afterwards.

Thanks for checking with your daughter Smile

Oh ok, yes thats where she had it too, hope all goes well, and you dont need it tightening like she did after
Where are you having it done?

I'm not in the UK. The person doing it will respected and loves doing necks (apparently they have their highest satisfaction rates, so hopefully your daughter's experience isn't typical).

I know everyone is different and im sure you will be fine, When are you having it done
I would love a necklift, but think im too old now, some surgeons wont do it here after about 66
