First grey hairs.....what to do?

I don't know what to do. Grey hair just on the crown....though actually could be the back of my head...how would I know? 😳

Can I dye 'odd' hairs or do I need to colour it all. Naturally near black hair, very dark brown. Certainly know I don't want the all over blue black hair dye.

Do you really need to dye it?

I have friends who have dark hair who have gone grey it looks stunning. I have red hair with some white coming through. My first thought was to dye it but I'm lucky at 47 not to have too many so I've resisted the dye. Over processed hair in a block colour is not a good look.

Do nothing. Once you start dyeing you'll be stuck in a cycle of roots showing/re-dyeing etc. Let it grow for a while and see how you like it. Grey hair is having a moment, anyway!

Can you live with it?

I lived with it for quite a while, then decided that I was going 'the wrong sort of grey', had a crisis, and covered with semi-permanent box dye which was minimal hassle.

After not getting round to it for a while, and a phase of henna, I am now re-looking at my roots and reconsidering whether I need to start again.

Dyeing is an expensive faff.

How about getting a new hairstyle, when I cut mine into a pixie the grey became much less obvious (I'm late 40s and have very few greys anyway).

I’ve been pulling mine out, I’m 31 and have got the odd one or two for about three years, my hair is so dark that when I see them they are really noticeable. It’s still just one or two here and there, but they are getting slightly more frequent. I think dying it on the cards next

I’m leaving mine.

Mmm, not keen to leave it.

Is this a stupid question...do men still use Grecian 2000, something I remember from years ago? Is it just for men? Would it stop the grey....or am I being really really silly? 😂

You will need a permanent colour to cover really. I'm finding the semi-permanents do not last long at all covering greys.
I have quite a lot of grey hairs and they are increasing rapidly but if you only have the odd one I wouldn't bother. I avoided dying for about 12 years with the odd grey.
