I'm really need a good quality sturdy umbrella. I've had so many flimsy, crappy ones that break within a few weeks. I'm outside waking a fair bit and ideally want a small fold away type thing.

Any ideas on where to look?

I have a collapsible one from here:
www.james-smith.co.uk/product-category/umbrellas/

It’s not the lightest hand-bag-sized umbrella in the world but it’s sturdy and top quality and even when flipped inside out by the wind it doesn’t break (you can just flip it back again). Have had it for five years or so and it’s good as new, should last me for years and years.

//www.reisenthel.com have good large wind-proof umbrellas in their signature designs. Less than £20 IIRC.
Mine has 8 segments, but 4 large and 4 small which is quite unusual. It’s fully manual and I made the mistake of removing the transparent plastic from the handle. Don’t do it because it scratches through very easily!

Radley are the best foldable ones I've tried - wait for the sales.

I also have a Fulton birdcage for walking days (when I won't be in and out of shops etc) which is lovely.

I have a gustbuster too. Think it's 10 years old now. Stands up to very strong winds without being caught by them. Nothing pretty about it but definitely sturdy. Will fit in a tote bag. Think Amazon sell them.
