What makes for a comfy heel ?

Looking for wedding shoes (I'm the bride). Got a dress but it looks like I need decent height. Haven't worn heels in years due to a bunion op a while back and when I do its for a few hours rather than all afternoon and evening.
This isn't helped by getting married in a place famous for it's hills and cobbles.
So what to get?
I quite like the look of a single strap across the top sandal but are they agony after a while? Should I get a platform shoes or just a chunky heel. Wedges are good at work but look shit as bridal shoes.

Platform & chunky heel

The right size is most important. Too big & you'll be clenching your toes to keep them on. Too small and they'll pinch.

Have a look here: Unisa

Thank you. That's what I need - websites and places I wouldn't know about.

I like these but the heel is too spiky and I can see that band around the top digging in as the evening goes on. I was thinking maybe blue / hint of blue shoes.

I got my wedding shoes from Pink Paradox and they are hands down the comfiest heels I've ever worn. I bought so flat shoes for dancing at the evening reception, but I didn't need them because my heels were so comfortable.

I got my wedding shoes from TKMaxx (brand is Rainbow I think?) - they were soooo comfy. Might be worth a look at their website?
