Not kitten or stiletto, not too high, block is ok but not too thick either.

Everywhere seems to be thick block heels but dont think they look nice with my chunky calves. I will be wearing with trousers. Looked everywhere today but did not find one single pair.

I've got these www.clarks.co.uk/c/Kelda-Nights/p/26126726 and like them because they go with both skirts and trousers.

They are really comfy despite the heels being quite high smile

Funnily enough I tried on these boots today! They were the only ones that I thought looked ok but I was looking at the leather version. The suede look better imo. I will go locally again tomorrow as their 20% off finishes on Sunday. Thanks for recommending and making me think again about them.

Oh M&S... .it was the only store I didn't try of course! Thanks will look online now.

I just bought a pair of pontoons from Dune. I love them. They're lined with a thin layer of padding, so v. comfy as well.

I saw some nice ones in Crew Clothing called Isabelle but they didn’t have my size as usual.

Are they Austin Powers-ish though 😬

I bought some in M&S today! Mind you they're the black velvet lace up ones - opinon on S&B was very much that they are a bit principal boy/ Gothic/ Mary Poppins, but anyone I've shown them to agrees that they are very me grin

Sam Edelman Pettys. Might be too flat for you though. Worth shopping around as can often get bargains by digging around online.
