Cropped hair - all over blonde?

My hair is naturally a mousey dirty blonde colour and I have lightened it since being a teenager, usually I have it highlighted by my hairdresser every 2nd or 3rd cut

I have had it short for a while now, with blonde highlights on the top section only, natural mousey on the shorter underneath area at back & sides

I'm now wondering about going for an all over bleach blonde look (Frankie Bridge style ....but I'm nowhere near as pretty as she is!)

Does anyone have experience of having all over blonde on short hair? How often does it need colouring and would you risk colouring it yourself or best to let the hairdresser do it?

I currently get it cut every 6 weeks
