Have you had a nose job? Please tell me everything - where did you get it done, what did you have, how much did it cost, are you happy with it?

I have recently come into a bit of money that I don't need to spend on anything else, and I want to spend it on myself. My nose isn't awful, but it's kind of big and fat and piggy and seems disproportionate to my other features. It's a bit like Scarlett Johansson's old nose (but I have smaller lips and eyes, so looks bigger).

I can't find any recent threads on nose jobs so please chat with me!

Oh and how long did you take off work? Did you get black eyes?!

No-one at all? Sad

I'm finding it hard to get any testimonials that aren't on clinics' blogs...

i’ve had a nose job but it was about 9 years ago! Mr Matti on Harley St did it, it cost about 7-8k. he did a good job and i had minimal bruising/recovery was fine. i was supposed to have a slight revision which he was going to do for free (but i did have to pay for the hospital) but i decided it wasn’t worth it in the end. i still dislike my nose somewhat but it is definitely improved but now i don’t care that i dislike my nose IYSWIM. i do get really sad when people have nose jobs though! like fern mcann.. yes she had a big nose but she was still gorgeous and pulled it off beautifully, and now she just looks like everyone else! but i do no regret mine. so it’s like it’s fine for me to have a nj, but everyone else should just/can ~work it! i was v insecure when i was younger i give far less of a shit now!

Hi, I had rhinoplasty 2 years ago costing around £4,250 I think. I love my 'new' nose. I had always been very conscious of it as it had a hump in the middle.

I had two consultations before the surgery and felt at ease with my surgeon. The day of the surgery I was very nervous but excited at the same time as I had saved for a long time to have it done. I went down for my surgery and then next thing I remember was waking up in the recovery ward, very drowsy and sleepy but no pain. After a while I was taken back to my room. I had a cast over my nose and gazes and stitches in my nostrils (sorry TMI, but you have to know these kind of things lol!)

I didn't sleep at all that night, I think it was because I felt very bunged up. I was given regular pain meds throughout the night and continued to take them for the next week. I had minimal bruising, just a yellowy tinge around my eyes.

The following morning had the gauzes taken out (which was the most uncomfortable part) it wasn't painful just an odd sensation and then was discharged and allowed home. I had 2 weeks off work. After the first week I went back to the surgeon the have the cast taken off for the big reveal!

My nose was quite swollen at first but already I could see the difference. As the days went on the swelling reduced and I could breathe easier.

I'm so glad I took the chance and did it. I too found it hard to find testimonials online.

Good luck! x

Yes!! It was amazing. Had it done when I was 17 (surgeon has since retired) - I'm nearly 36 now so cost not really relevant

I was incredibly bruised for a week, then once I got the splint off 7 days post op the bruising was yellowish and with the puffiness I looked a bit like a frog. 10 days post op I put on some makeup and went shopping and to the cinema and no one recoiled in horror. Totally one of the best things I've ever done. No one believes me when I tell them I've had it done
