Waterproof and warm coat and boots?

I'm looking for the above and having no luck! I'm wanting them for the school run.

Ideally I'd like a warm coat with a hood that will stay up in lashing rain and that is waterproof (not showerproof). Mid thigh in length and not fisherman in style.

For boots I'd like ones that cover my ankles/ mid calf that are waterproof and have proper grips so I don't slide down steep hills in the inevitable January ice. Ideally they would be warm and easy to get on.

I wouldn't want to spend more than £100 on either item. I'm mid 30s, size 14 coat and size 6 shoe. Do these things exist?!? Many thanks Smile

Try Regatta for coats in that price range - Debenhams, Blacks, Go Outdoors etc

Thank you for your help! I've ordered those Clarks boots in black and a waterproof coat from Regatta that was half price. I really liked the timberland boots and Didrikson coats but they were a bit more pricey than I'd like. It's crazy that waterproof stuff is so expensive and hard to find considering it never stops raining! Thank you Smile

Scroll down past the bonkers sandals and there are some lovely warm waterproof boots in the Sorel sale

Dr Marten boots. They take a bit of wearing in but are warm, comfy, waterproof and will last years. Also they will always look cool.

Sorel boots were nice but alas not in my size! I feel like I missed the boat with docs as I never wore them in my youth Smile
