Need a new coat

I need a new coat for the school run. Must be warm and waterproof. So far I've tried: M&S, Joules and Fatface. Any other thoughts? Struggling here!

I've tried New Look. H&M doesn't suit me either!

People on here always recommend sea salt for coats

Don't go for new look, I bought a lovely coat from there a few years ago and it lasted 3 months odd before it fell apart.

There's some nice coats in tk max at the moment, if there's one near you?

Ah yes, maybe tk max. Too many coats without hoods. Will avoid new look!

I've got a Seasalt. I bought it in a summer sale so I've not worn it yet but it came recommended and does feel very substantial. Plus it's guaranteed waterproof.

I think it was called the Janelle, LambChops but I can't see it on their website any more. It's knee length (which was what I was after) and has a bit on shaping at the waist and dips a bit at the hem.

I've just bought a Dorothy Perkins parka only £22.50 in their online sale, will be warm & hopefully fairly water resistant.

The colour is called 'fig' but the coat in the photo looks more reddish to me.

Anyway if this one doesn't suit I'll also be looking for a different fashionable warm water resistant hooded coat - most likely another parka.

Depending on your budget, have a look at the Barbour website. They do some really nice coats, not just wax jackets as the name usually infers.

I splashed out today and invested in a superdry wind breaker coat. I've heard nothing but good things.
Cost quite a lot (to me, anyway) and it's not the prettiest coat but hopefully it'll be warm come winter!
