Boring but essential .... insoles for peep toe wedge shoes

I have some lovely wedge suede shoes that are a size 7. I take a 6.5 so am used to having to use insoles but last time I wore the shoes I had to put 2 insoles in but they still flopped off my heels as my toes kept slipping forward through the peep toe. I love the shoes and am hoping to wear them to an event soon so any top tips on good insoles or inventive solutions? I read about something that you stick in the back of the shoe that then sticks to your foot but can't remember what they are called
