trainers suitable for work?

I'm a hater of shoes! Would love to be comfy and stylish but it doesnt happen together.
I've never been a fan of heels or thin shoes where you can feel every bump/stone on the path plus weirdly can feel through my body if I don't tread carefully!
Which only leaves trainers. I'm tempted by skechers go walk but I did buy a pair of shoe zone pull on pumps, which look remarkably similar but the soles only lasted 3 weeks so i'm wary of splashing out on them if the sole gives way so soon again.
I do wear bootcut trousers at work so not all the trainer is on show but they would need to be all black including the sole.
Does anyone know how well skechers last, or would a normal trainer be better?

Skechers last ages, i used one pair for 2 years, all black so looked ok with long trousers. Im currently wearing nike studio but very thin soles so you probably wont like those. The skechers i had were the lace up more of a trainer than go walk

I get at least a year of heavy use out of GoWalks, then I wash them and get another year out of them as slippers. I love them. I'm also considering the Uma Thurman trainers from fitflop this year. I live in trainers - PF plus multiple surgery on one leg and foot over the last few years means it's all I can wear. I have nice all black ones from asics and new balance as well, but they aren't this year's stock.

Geox have some good ones slightly pricey but very comfy

Sketchers Go Step are light, comfy and look quite good with black trousers - bought them todayand tried on with trousers when I got home. I'm a big sketchers fan, had my Go Walk slip ons at least 2 years.

You can buy nice flat shoes that will look smart and be comfy, you just need to spend a bit more! Think! Shoes are good, for example

I love my skechers - every pair has lasted me at least a couple of years of pounding city pavements! As I wear mine every day I also buy a deodorising insole, as I find the memory foam doesn't breathe as well so can get a little stinky if they're used every day without a break. I like the ballet pump style skechers as I find I can get away with them in the office with opaque tights and a dress, if no-one looks too closely Smile

Another Go Walk fan here. They are so insanely comfortable that they spoil you for anything else. I wish they could design some that looked a little more stylish.

I have a pair of doc Martin loafers for work. Very thick bouncy soles. I'm a trainers girl in the weekend.

I have some white K-Swiss ones, they are super comfortable and seem to be lasting well (had them a year). They work with black trousers and even dresses (I think Wink)

My black Sketchers only lasted 9 months, though that was of daily wear - they were the GoWalk I think (the memory foam pull on one's). They were incredibly comfortable though - I had problems with my feet before swapping to them. I have a cheaper but very similar looking pair now (also with memory foam).

I actually think they were worth it on a price per wear basis despite the sole separating after 9 months, because they were so comfortable and because I've certainly wasted more on less comfortable shoes which I haven't worn as much, so have cost more per wear even though less to buy, if that makes sense!

Ones not one's - my autocorrect loves apostrophes!

ive got sketchers been wearing them almost daily and the soles are fading away a bit but they still have lots of life left in them
mine are the plain black ones so they just look like shoes

Try Clarks...they have lots of flat, comfy trainer and non-trainery things
