Tight Sleeves

Why are sleeves so tight these days.? I wear a size 10/12 and clothes with long sleeves make me feel like I'm wearing a blood pressure cuff. Ok at 49 I no longer have arms that resemble twigs but I cannot go up a dress size just for my arms to feel comfortable and I don't want to wear vest tops or tee-shirts to show off my fat arms either.

Does anyone have any suggestions or would you like to moan about it with me?

I do have quite chunky arms but a really narrow torso and I have exactly the same problem. I'm a size 10 but if I buy stuff I can fit my arms in, it drowns me everywhere else.

Angel type sleeves are good for tops but then I find I can't fit them inside a jacket. It's really annoying.

I find myself buying quite a few kimono type jackets as a result.

I have been on the look out for ages for the perfect denim jacket but these are the worst. If you know of any denim jackets with normal sleeves I'd be very grateful to hear of them.
