Anyone else?

I'm not sure you'd call it "dressed up" but if I'm going out of the house, I tend to look put together. I choose and lay out my clothes the night before - otherwise I'd be going to work in pjs - and always wash my hair/put on makeup. I probably actually make more effort on miserable days - it cheers me up!

I'm totally up for slobby days at the weekend though and can happily do pyjamas -> bath -> fresh pyjamas, and no makeup/unstyled hair for two days on the trot.

I'm like Judy - I like to dress nice for work and going out at the weekend, but I'm equally happy in my onesie in the house if I'm not going out anywhere.
I always lay out work outfits the night before - today I am wearing a sleeveless white wrap top, black and white pencil skirt, tan long cardi and pointed leopard ankle boots - comfy and very me, and still looking smart enough for work.
Invest in a brimmed hat and a good scarf to stop the rain ruining your hair, and make sure that you have the right outer layer.

I wear full make up daily whether going out or not. Work from home 50% of the time so slob about in joggers etc but always with make up.

I don't possess pjs or a onesie- sleep in a silk nightie- so no way am I going to keep it on all day.

I dress up when I go to university classes. Contact lens.Make up. Perfume. A nice dress and tights. I feel much more confident, when I'm dressed up than when I'm just in jeans and a t-shirt.

I have no work dress code but also find I have a better day if I make the extra effort. For example today I'm wearing skinny khaki cargo trousers, a grey t shirt, Adidas Superstars, leather jacket and a Tatty Devine T Rex necklace which looks like an "outfit" in a way hoodie, jeans and trainers doesn't. My hair's down, contacts are in, and I've shoved on a bit of eyeshadow and mascara - again bun and glasses with no makeup looks like laziness rather than a style choice!

PNgirl - where are your khaki cargo trousers from? Would love a pair for this Spring/Summer.

I usually lay out a nice accessorised outfit in the evening and then in the morning look in the mirror and feel awfully self-conscious so take it all off and throw on the usual jeans and jumper instead. :(

Jennymac primark have skinny green/khaki cargo pants at the moment. ( also in black). I love them but they are short in the crotch and give me horrific camel toe. You may be a different shape to me!

I used to and then I got pregnant 😂 39 weeks tomorrow and went out in my ugly sketchers, slightly see through harem jogger things and fluff socks yesterday to get petrol.....

I am a SAHM.

I am dressed. That, right there, looks like victory.

Having said that, I will likely dress up for appointments or Church

I wear make up and do my hair every single day. I have a short do, short at one side and long on the other, so only have to straighten the long side and give it a scruff with some wax. I wear the same make up every day - foundation, blue eye shadow, liner and mascara. It takes me about 15 minutes on a bad day.

I like to look clean and tidy - since I had a baby though my standards may be a little lower 😄 I do always think about what I'm going to wear though - and since I got back into pre DS clothes (albeit they fit a little differently now) I've got a bit more choice lol.

I do want more clothes though so am making use of this board more often for ideas.

I do my face makeup, every day. I think because primarily I feel better NOT looking like I'm ill 😊 and as a previous poster said, I seem to have a better day. Bodily, I'm fighting a losing battle, up to my knees in mud and living in leggings and wellies.

After I've done my "dirty work" I do at least try to change into clean clothes that, if I bumped into someone I knew in town, I wouldn't feel like nobody owns me! But sometimes I can't be arsed.

My secret to looking put together is a blazer and statement necklace. You can be as blah or as casual as you like, but that instantly makes it look like you made an effort! I should probably have lint-rollered the cat hair off today's blazer, though....

Hair and makeup every day that I'm going out or working. If I have something important on then I will dress smartly but mostly I'm in smart casual mode. I love days when I can lounge around making no effort.

Always. Love clothes and make-up. My mother's from a nation where they all dress beautifully even to go to the cornership. She's always told me "when you feel at your worst, it's even more important to look your best". Wear same make up every day so takes 10 mins.

Love hearing what other people are wearing. Today I'm: black leather pencil midi skirt, cream blouse, pearl studs, black slim blazer, black courts (work in a very conservative environment - leather skirt is as far as I can push it!).

Agree with dinosaurs - blazer and statement necklace make everything smarter.

Jennymac - Mine are from Matalan! £16. Got them 2 days ago but had to size up. They don't look that great on the model tbf...

Not if I don't feel like it. Shower, brushed hair, clean clothes yes. For me, anything else appearance-wise is an optional extra, so if I don't feel like it I won't do it. I like choosing nice clothes, accessories, makeup etc, but some days don't feel interested and would rather keep those few minutes for something else.

And yes to the blazer. I have two from boohoo and they make everything smarter!

Also, I'm guilty of throwing a lovely wool cocoon coat over me (no matter what I look like underneath it) and a bright scarf. But, as it's getting warmer....can't do that now. All cocoon coat and.... 😊😊😊
