It probably depends on their store policy - It's a high end brand so you would think they would be high on customer satisfaction especially if you are buying a different one for eg. I go to Charlotte T and the lady was so kind and offered to change my eyeshadow stick as I mentioned it had dried out. I would go in and charm them.

I have returned foundations, several of them, to better quality brands. Sometimes they oxidise and change colour on your skin IRL so they look appalling after you've paid. (Sisley, especially.) And once or twice my fairly sensitive skin has broken out. I just take it back to the counter, explain politely but firmly that it hasn't suited, and have been refunded without question. It's obvious from the weight of the bottle or tube that it hasn't been much used, and TBH I wouldn't bother with a chemist brand. Now I will not buy foundation at all unless the sales assistant is prepared to offer a sample big enough for 3-5 days use. But I am 60, and a dragon.
