Rose Gold On Brown hair

Opinions on Rose Gold On Brown hair please. I'm 35 years old, quite pale and have light to medium brown shoulder length hair.
I love the balayage look with Rose Gold through it, but I don't know if I'm too old or have missed the boat on this one already. All opinions appreciated!

I can't picture it so can't really help but I don't think you should ever rule something out on the basis of age alone.

I have dark brown hair, almost black and have had rose gold balayage and ombre for almost a year.

It's REALLY difficult to maintain the pinky tones, so my hairdresser made up a toner for me to use every week to refresh. I've also heard good things about Bleach London products.

Find a hairdresser who is good with modern colour and balayage technique rather than highlights. Get them to mix a couple of colours - more orangey/pinky and more gold in colour to see what you prefer.

I'm going to go natural again in a couple of months, mainly because it's cheaper to maintain and also because my hair has been bleached for the past 2 years and needs a rest.

liefie your hair sounds fab, would you consider posting a pic? I have dark brown hair as well and am thinking whether rose gold hair would look good on me either all over or as highlights

I love rose gold but it doesn't last long at all, needs lots of top ups

This was when it was first done. It faded a fair bit after 3-4 washes so went back and got a toner which pretty much got it as bright again.

I wanted it more on the pink side of rose gold so this is what we came up with.

Wow that looks stunning - your hair looks wavy just like mine so hopefully I can do something similar. I'm not sure my hairdressers are up to it though :/

So what did you ask for, rose gold balayage and ombré as well? Also have you been using the toner every week since then? How do you care for your hair after the bleaching? I had gold ombré on the bottom of my hair couple of years ago and the bottoms were like straw til I chopped them off

I had a ash blonde ombre before this, so just asked my hairdresser to take it higher with the balayage and go rose gold. I trust him massively, so basically just let him have a play around.

I wash my hair twice a week, so normally every fourth wash, I use the toner. My hair is in pretty good condition anyway, despite it being bleached for the past few years, but I use a lot of intensive conditioners etc.

Where are you based? Maybe someone can give recommendations of a great colour hairdresser.

I'm in South Woodford/Chigwell but can get into London easily enough as I'm not sure the hairdressers around here are up to the job
