Christmas wedding, help!

I have a wedding the weekend before Christmas and literally have no idea where to start on buying an outfit, having recently lost just over a stone but still feeling like there's a long way to go. I need everything- dress, shoes, handbag. I live in the US and all the formal/party wear seems to be black as it is ok to wear black to weddings here Confused

It all seems so elderly too- I'm only 27 and actually want to look it, not 20 years older. I'm a 5'3 14-16, 32G, narrow shoulders, ok waist and chubby lower stomach. Ok arms, decent legs.

I'm returning to the UK in early December so could realistically buy something here or when I get back. It's actually going to be the first wedding I've been to since my own in March and I want to look nice not a bloody mess. Budget of £100 and under for dress.

If you have any clue how to dress my small dumpy body I'd be very grateful 😂

The one just linked to is gorgeous (though the link didn't work for me, had to view it on Wallis website and it's showing as size 10 only)

How about this? Too summery?

Nota
I want to go to a wedding so I can buy it!!
I can see it in lots of sizes, I think!
Debenhams have them

Wow, thanks just and giraffe

I can't see the Debenhams or Monsoon links Sad

That Wallis one is lovely but I don't know if the shape would suit me. I would definitely try it on though. The Topshop one is gorgeous! The Topshop flagship store is relatively close to me so I will go and try it on. I don't know if the US 10/UK 14 will fit though- what is their sizing like nowadays? It seems to be the largest size that dress goes up to

The Next one is pretty but I want to try and avoid black for a wedding

What brands do you tend to wear in the US?

This is a bargain and you could pick out some of the different colours eg burgundy, cream in accessories
