Style and beauty

It's 13.57. I'm sat in a dressing gown with face covered in spots. I need help!

And the spots are craters. :-(

Not sure if this should be in mental health really as feeling pretty down.

I have no energy or reason to get dressed or shower. I have exploded into spots due to stress. I have put in about 1 stone in weight due to horrid coil.

I feel completely 'stuck' and as if I will never feel attractive or feminine again. I know it's shallow, but please, do any of you stylish ladies ever feel this way - and if so, what do you do to climb out of the hole, so to speak?

Oh and my room is an utter tip which I am ashamed of. I'm sat here staring at it thinking I really need to tidy up but feel too lethargic.

I'm still sat here at 14. 30 in my dressing gown just contemplating getting dressed & starting weekly house chores. I also had the merina coil put in almost a year ago & have gained 1/2 stone in weight. I used to have terrible spots / acne on my face & I used everything to no avail .... I tried glycolic acid cream & it's a slow process but it worked and now my skin is clear & smooth as a babies bum. Chin up, we all have them down days x

Get up, stick on some clothes and go for a walk. A bit of fresh air and gentle exercise will lift your mood and make you feel more awake. Come home have a bath and go out for dinner or cook something yummy. Low days are terrible but this is what I do to lift myself Flowers

I was exactly the same as you 2 months ago. Had the coil put in 18 months ago, seemed fine at first. I was feeling constantly bone aching tiredness, put in weight, spots, snappy and angry.l, depressed. The constant bouts of thrush. It dawned on me it was the coil, had it taken out a week later. I'm still not 100% but I'm feeling so much better in myself. Go in the shower and get dressed, you will feel better and maybe think about getting the coil out.

Sorry you're feeling so rubbish. I know this is only part of the issue, but I had really really stubborn spots (PCOS related) for over 10 years. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo face wash and moisturiser is the only thing that worked to clear it up (it cleared up completely within a couple of months, and with regular use the spots have never returned, and I've been spot free for around 5 years).

I would think it's definitely worth trying - I spent years trying really expensive skincare from loads of different brands, but this totally worked for me. I am evangelical about it (you can probably tell...), mainly because bad skin affected my confidence so badly, it was utterly miserable.

Go and have a shower, and get dressed, uou will feel better. Then tidy your room. You will feel better once it's done and when uou go to bed tonight seeing it all tidy and when uou wake up tomorrow.

Don't just sit being lethargic, honestly, it won't help. 💐
