Semi permanent hair straightening?

What are the options when it comes to semi permanent hair straightening? Brazilian blow dry? What else is there? Has anyone tried more than one type and can say what they thought was better?
I have really thick curly/wavy hair and would love to not have to straighten it as much!

I have used Yuko in the past - it's a Japanese method and is more permanent than semi. I used to have it done once a year for 7 years. Quite chemically though but worked a treat as I never needed to use straightening irons so the condition of my hair improved.
I stopped having it done when I got pregnant and simply don't have 3 hours plus 2 hours travel to get it done anymore!

I don't work for them, honest - but wellastrate turns a messy frizzball into tidy loose waves. Less frizzy hair will go really straight.

Lasts a year. Life changing Smile

I tried the Tresemme keratin smooth 7 day straight treatment. You use the shampoo and conditioner, apply the straightening creme and then use hot irons to force the product into the hair shaft.

I wouldn't recommend it, my hair felt full of gunk even after washing and wasn't much noticeably straighter.

I think a salon treatment is the way to go, although they're pricey.
