And she was fab! She's doing a roadshow with Pixi. I had a 5 minute one to one afterwards and she made some fab suggestions re my skincare routine. (only one Pixi product). Big queue of people after me and she spent a long time advising people. This was at M&S Hedge End, Southampton. If she's coming to an M&S near you and you're a fan I really recommend it!

Ooh how exciting! Nice to know she's just as friendly in person!

I went to Hedge End too - didn't get to speak with Caroline but I did suggest to her team that they try to get her on a MN webchat :)

Really recommend the M&S Pixi roadshows if a store near you is hosting one. The makeover and skincare advice I received was fantastic.

I bought the Pixi Glow Tonic and she also recommended the Emma Hardie cleansing balm as it turns out the cleanser I was using from Neostrata was too strong for my skin. Not heard of EH before but I've used the cleansing balm just now and it's lush. She also said she felt my skin was reactive rather than super sensitive. It was a really useful 5 minutes and gave me food for thought. Glad you enjoyed it too!

What's the difference between reactive and super sensitive?

I'm using mostly Neostrata which was recommended by my Dermatologist shestood. But I had already decided that the cleanser was causing a reaction and stopped using it yesterday (only bought these products a couple weeks ago. I had just been using one moisturiser from the range for the last two years). But the cleansing balm I mentioned above is lovely and my skin feels really calm tonight (it usually reacts immediately if there's a problem). I told her I was diagnosed with early rosacea a few years ago but she wasn't sure; I think that's because I avoid triggers and try to look after it well.

I'm making a start with Pixi cleansing balm and Glow tonic, my first foray into using glycolic acid on my ageing skin. What with all the other serums, mists and oils my face feels amazing this evening!

Fair comment jack. She didn't "diagnose" anything. It was more of a general conversation where she was gently challenging what I have believed about my skin for decades, in a positive way. I went with no make up. She had a good look and feel.

I've tried to read a bit about the difference between sensitive skin and reactive skin chardonnay and I must say I'm still not 100% sure and I feel like I have a bit of both.

One thing is certain. Since switching to the Neostrata products the general redness has visibly improved, and apart from the cleanser, my skin feels more calm and comfortable.

Never heard of Neostrata! Have just picked up the Zelens vit D drops though.
