Nice tops that aren't floppy, baggy, faded or floral

or black or white or bright yellow.

I'm depressed. I've been trying to find some nice 'going out' tops to wear for when a dress is too much but a t-shirt is too casual and can't find anything that doesn't fall into one of the above categories.

I'm light coloured and broad shouldered so don't suit a lot of the whispy/hippy stuff that's around at the moment (I don't mind a cold shoulder though).

Can anyone offer any inspiration?

I've bought the lovely black coated jeggings from Next but have nothing to wear them with. Sad

What's your budget? And your skin colouring/eye colour?

Up to £100. Skin is fair/creamy/ivory, hair is light blonde, my eyes are grey.

Baukjen?. Great quality and there is usually a code doing the rounds somewhere...

I used to buy a lot from them when they were just Isabella Oliver and while I like the quality and style, they are very plain and not very 'going outy' iykwim.

I like thier leather trousers but the cost is ££££££

I feel the same - everything is also high necked which isn't always as flattering as a scoop? I'm broad shouldered too so I don't like the off the shoulder stuff either.

Nightmare isnt it.

I tend to wear sleeveless tops now as it helps to narrow the shoulders. Need to tone my upper arms constantly though to avoid bingo wings.
