And I'm in my mid thirties. I want a navy wool coat and this one looks lovely...

I know I'm too old for Jack Wills but does it matter?

That looks like a very 'grown up' coat to me confused

SerenDippitee Sat 10-Sep-16 19:58:24

It's lovely. I remember when they closed Aubin and Wills (sob) and said that the Jack Wills range was going to become a bit more grown-up to compensate. Maybe it's finally happening.

I'm almost 30 and I still wear Jack Wills grin Not their tracksuit bottoms with W I L L S written all over it but their blazers and coats (like the one you have your eye on) are stylish for all ages!

Of course it doesn't matter. If you want it, get it and then promptly forget about where you bought it from grin

I'm 44 (gulp) and I've got 2 JW tops - one is a navy gingham sleeveless blouse and the other is a lovely camisole.
I'm not ashamed

SerenDippitee Sat 10-Sep-16 21:18:49

Just be aware that JW can come up small.

SoleBizzz Sat 10-Sep-16 21:20:18

My two year old wears that coat

JohnCheese Sat 10-Sep-16 21:22:30

Like the coat. I'd wear it and I'm way more than 30.

Does it really matter where it's from?

Crispbutty Sat 10-Sep-16 21:23:13

I'm 46 and wear jack wills. It's quality made clothing that lasts a a washes well.

MrsJayy Sat 10-Sep-16 21:26:13

Its not as if its got JACK WILLIS all over its just a nice coat get it if you like it.

I'm 36 in 3 weeks time and do buy things from JW. I think their non logo stuff can be lovely. Although the sizing is stupid. But honestly they go some very nice individual pieces that are quit classic. This is something quite hard to find in British high street.

PontypineNumber9 Sat 10-Sep-16 21:38:52

Thanks all. I definitely wouldn't not buy something just because it's from Jack Wills - just wanted to gauge opinion.

I've got a few bits from their sales. It does come up small - just had to get rid of a pair of excellent jeans from there because I don't think I'll ever be a JW size 10 again.

The coat is lovely, although I'm not keen on either of the colours. It would be perfect in grey, red or bright pink, even a dark green.

RosieLig Sat 10-Sep-16 22:36:50

That's lovely. I have a couple of their blazers and the quality is brilliant. See if you can get code, they often have big discounts. Oh and size up.

Hoppinggreen Sun 11-Sep-16 15:34:11

We have a huge JW outlet near us - up to 70% off

Floisme Sun 11-Sep-16 15:44:00

If there's an age limit on wool navy or camel coats then we are all screwed.

£200 is quite a lot when it's not even all wool so I would want good quality for that price.

wizzywig Sun 11-Sep-16 22:20:09

Sheesh thats a lot of money!

HalfStar Sun 11-Sep-16 22:30:41

Really nice. Had a cashmere sweater from jw once and loved it. 80% wool is not bad for that price I think Flo?

Floisme Sun 11-Sep-16 22:59:50

Your're probably right, Half - my last couple of wool coats have been from TK Maxx so I'm a bit out of touch!

Proseccocino Sun 11-Sep-16 23:02:44

It looks like an oversized blazer to me. There aren't enough buttons for it to be a proper coat that will keep you warm (IMHO). And yes for the fabric composition it's very overpriced.

Ihopeyouhadthetimeofyourlife Sun 11-Sep-16 23:12:45

I love it. I'm buying it!

I am (not quite) 40

Kenduskeag Tue 13-Sep-16 20:52:24

I have a lot of Jack Wills and Hollister. Nothing with any big logo on it, so no one's noticed yet.

Mabe I'll make a 14 year old feel bad when they see me in something they own smile

Must say, the quality is rather good. I have some shorts from there that have well outlasted other high-street items.

PontypineNumber9 Wed 14-Sep-16 06:07:07

I'm going to buy it too Ihope!
Holding out for a discount code as I don't need it yet...
