Please help me find a ring (may be challenging)

I want a sort of promise ring for my girlfriend. It has to be silver and she's not really the feminine type. It has to be under £150 but maybe a little unsual.

Size L.

If anyone has any ideas? Smile

If you can tell me roughly where you live in the country, I might be able to recommend a vintage ring shop. (Am a little bit addicted to vintage.) We went on a trip to Stamford a few weeks ago where they have the most amazing vintage jewellery shop, with most stuff under £150.

I'm in manchester.

I don't mean anything specific in terms of style in regards to a promise ring, its just that we cannot get engaged right now but I'd like to ger her something as a show of commitment.

Hot diamonds are usually silver jewellery with small diamonds.

something from Hairy Growler always makes me laugh

They recycle all sorts of things into all sorts of jewellery

also some really unusual stuff from Ginkgo ...he has a stall at Greenwich Market but lots of pics on the website.

forgot to say, the Ginkgo guy was also making rings from coins, they were also lovely, but they do not seem to be on the website yet.

www.dd2.co.uk/

I have a few pieces of jewellery from here, they are all beautiful and the photos don't do them justice. He is excellent about swapping to get the right size or if you don't like it.

If you can get into Manchester try the craft and design centre in the northern quarter. There are loads of interesting and unique jewellers in there.

How about Dower and Hall? They have some very pretty silver rings.

I second Dame in recommending the dd2 website, his jewellery is gorgeous!!! I bought myself a necklace with my birthday money recently, and I'm going to get him to reshape my wedding ring next too.

I know a lovely silversmith in your area. She makes some lovely jewellery. PM me if you would like her contact details.

I second Hairy Growler. I'm tempted by one of the lucky sixpence rings. You can pick a specific year too.
