Where do you get your inspiration from?

as the title really, who or where do you look to for inspiration? I feel like I'm stuck in a bit of a style rut at the minute. I used to be quite trendy and take risks but now I feel like I'm stuck in jeans and trainers. I want some inspiration!

Pinterest, my friends, people I see on the street, the occasional tv program or film

Look at everything around you... What are the people in the street wearing, and do they look good, or different, or outlandish, or as if they need sectioning. Go to exhibitions to look at art; window shop, especially in new cities; trawl Pinterest, read a magazine every couple of months, and try to analyse what you've seen and liked or hated, and your reasons. Eventually it will become unconscious and you will filter and edit and progress without thinking about it too much. Try on lots of stuff (I prefer shopping alone, but know I am in a minority) and always make it a habit to push yourself slightly beyond your comfort zone. Have never used a personal shopper, but from S&B I believe they can be incredibly helpful getting you to push out for something new. And remember, we are none of us as adventurous as we were when we were young! That is allowed!
