Baby wedding clothing, any help please?

I appreciate this section is not really the area for this question but hey ho!

My DB is getting married end of October. I am a bridesmaid (red dress).

DH will be in a suit, DS (then just turned 2) will probably be in a kilt.

DC2 (as yet unborn) will be 2.5/3 months old (hopefully!) by then.

Has anyone got any ideas as to what they could wear? I hate 'adult' clothes on babies and nothing uncomfortable looking (ie. I don't like party dresses on a baby this age or 'smart' trousers).

I don't know sex yet, but were proceeding on the assumption at the moment that it's a boy (a girl will likely to be easier to dress anyway...?!)

I like baby grows (but not one pretending to look like a suit or anything ridiculous) or very soft, comfortable things. I also fully get that no one will give two hoots what the baby is wearing, but it will be in pics and it's the first time it will meet most of the extended family (and new family) so I'd like it to look nice...

Any ideas please??

Why don't you just go for a beautiful white top and bottoms from somewhere like the White Company?
Baby would look smart, you could reuse the outfit, and it won't be in comfy for him/her!

I have a gorgeous white cable knit, lined all in one which would be perfect for this sort of thing. Or maybe a shawl collar baby gro in a knit. Agree White Company a good call,, or gap, Zara, Next or M&S on the high st sometimes do some decent stuff.

I just took ds to his first wedding. He wore this from Mothercare:

He looked very sweet but was still comfortable, plus he can wear it again as it's not overly smart (or something like a mini-tux, not my cup of tea either) so wasn't a waste of money for a one-off occasion.

Mamas and Papas do some beautiful soft babygrows with cream or white neutral styles suitable for weddings or formal occasions. I would go for just a lovely baby grow!

Thank you! I was just on LWC and Trotters, getting carried away with ideas of dressing the baby up like a mini Prince George.... This is why I needed guidance!

Don't forget to get a spare something, pound to a penny they'll poosplode or puke on whatever beautiful thing you choose

Just buy a really lovely soft babygro. I had to take DS2 to a wedding when he was 3 weeks old and I bought a lovely Cath Kidston babygro with little trains on it. Very soft and cute.

I on the other hand looked like I'd been sleeping rough for a month! But all eyes were on the baby :)

Ah 3 a woman after my own heart. This is gorgeous!! And completely impractical! Just what I love (and ridiculously expensive which I am always drawn to much to DH's dismay!)

Have a look in Next or M&S. They do some lovely items for a special occasion, super soft so comfy but still looking smart.
Took my DS at 3 months to a wedding and got a babygrow vest that looked like a shirt. It was so soft, looked cute with some soft bottoms. The photographer loved him and kept coming back for more pics!!

I got something like that for my baby for a family function. Was adorable :) with matching booty's and a hat .. very prince George :)I'd never have dressed any of my boys like wee old men don't like jeans and shirts on babies.. always a one piece easier changed and winded :)

Aw they're just divine! No I'm very anti 'little men' babies and toddlers. My DS was in baby grows until he graduated to soft leggings and tops that he still wears!

You can probably get those beautiful classical boy outfits in John Lewis for a better price (sorry am on phone so can't link).
