Please help me with my flyaway baby hair!

I have a lot of hair, so it's very thick over all, but each hair is very fine. Because it's nice and heavy it usually hangs and goes up very well, but recently I've grown a lot new hair. It's a couple of inches long and won't cooperate!

Is there some sort of product I can use to just get them to stay down? I don't want anything heavy or that you can see, just something to make it look smooth.

I'm starting a big project with new people and I'd like to look like smart professional businesswoman in control of everything including my hair, rather than professional businesswoman who's just been attached to a van der Graaf generator!

Spray hairspray on a soft brush and run it lightly over the fine hairs.
