Iceland, early June - help me pack!

I'm lucky enough to be going for a weekend in Iceland in early June. I have no idea what it's really like (is Reykjavik 'stylish European capital' or 'Ambleside', clothes-wise) or what weather to expect.

Please can anyone tell me what to pack? Some time doing out of the city touring stuff, some time in the city itself. A couple of dinners out in the city centre.

Thank you Smile

Long range weather forecast for June 2016 here //www.accuweather.com/en/is/reykjavik/190390/june-weather/190390 but you'll be able to warm up in the Blue Lagoon. Smile

Despite the low temperatures, sunglasses and sunscreen are essential and take a sleep mask in case the blinds in your bedroom don't block completely block the light.

Dress for Ambleside - sturdy boots and layers for sightseeing and take dark skinny jeans with a dressy top and heels or smart flats for dining out/sampling Reykjavik's night life.

Icelanders are very friendly and you'll have a great time.

Hi

We were lucky enough to go last October, its a stunning country. Reykjavik is now one of my favorite cities, compact, great food and a real arty vibe. When traveling outside the city layer up, there are hardly any trees so the wind chill takes it down. If you are going out into the wilds of the countryside at night thermals are a must.
