Do you think these shoes will actually stay on?

I've been looking for red strappy high heels for summer for ages. I don't want ankle straps, much as I love them, as they are a disaster on my short legs. Just come across these www.asos.com/ASOS/ASOS-HATTER-Heeled-Sandals/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=6090146&affid=15397&istCompanyId=6f061ed0-7427-4b6c-bb90-987c0bd08468&istItemId=aiawraprr&istBid=tztx and they are just what I am looking for. BUT, they look to me as though you would just walk right out of them, if that makes sense! I guess they must stay put as someone is modelling them, but wondering what others think before I order them. (hope the link works!) TIA

Oh they're pretty!

Have you considered a staple gun?

I think you need to amputate your little toes and then use this stuff www.screwfix.com/p/evo-stik-sticks-like-sh-t-clear-290ml/57252

I had a similar pair back when I wore heels and the bloody back strap always drooped down then I would step out of them. I loved the look of them if I stood still but as soon as I wanted to move.......

Thank you all for replies, sorry I was out for afternoon. Thanks CreviceImp for the working link! I am prepared to suffer to gain a bit of extra height, but even I draw the line at staples and superglue Grin

So you have personal experience here Minty and what you describe is exactly what I thought would happen. I need to think of something, as I loooove these shoes. Velcro pads on the bottom of my feet??!! I could just stand still in them and get people to carry me around! Smile

They are so beautiful it might be worth Velcro, superglue and standing still Grin. You know, for all that I did step out of them and find the droopy blackstrap annoying, I felt really sexy in mine and didn't fall over ONCE. I was on high alert at all times but I think it was worth it..... Do it, do it!

I had a similar pair and they never stayed on. Drove me mad. Sorry.... Much prefer heels with a strap across the front as I am a bit accident prone. Keep trying different ones on and you'll find a pair to suit.

I'm a wheelchair user and would so buy them as wheelchair shoes.

I couldn't wear those in a million years. I went to a wedding in a similar pair from Karen Millen and I was literally crippled by the end of the day/night and also fell over more than once (alcohol and dark.) I have never worn them since and they cost £120 plus matching bag £80.

Ankle straps are the only way.

You could possibly wear them at a seated event eg meal where you get from a taxi to the restaurant and sit down all night.

"I couldn't wear those in a million years."

Neither could I. My eyes are watering just looking at them.

They are very pretty, but very unwearable unless you don't intend walking in them.

I have slightly misshapen feet so that style stay on for me normally, I wouldn't buy that particular pair though. My heel sticks out a long way and that holds the strap up so they don't fall off. It comes down to whether they are a good fit for your foot. One problem with that particular pair is that the strap at the back of the ankle is not elasticated so you won't get as good a fit with it.

No support in those, I wouldn't bother

I have some similar ones. They stay on fine, but I don't walk far in them. Smile

Those shoes would stay on my feet, they would however rub the back of my ankles to the point of being unwearable!

OP I once fell in love with a very similar pair of shoes from Pied a Terre. I ended up cutting the back strap off (it's much less noticeable than you think it would be). I wore my cut off shoes to a variety of weddings, felt INCREDIBLY glamorous and didn't fall over once. Buy!

I can't be doing with ankle straps cutting across my ankles, my legs are shorter than Jeremy Corbyn's expenses list. I bet they're really comfortable - they look really comfortable Grin

So, MintyChops didn't fall over once, mrsvilliers didn't fall over once, Startingover2016 fell over more than once (BUT alcohol and dark). That's 2 to 1, I'm buying!

Oh they're lovely. Would tit tape help do you think?

Ilovetorrentialrain · 04/05/2016 22:53

Hmm depends, are they for walking about much (daytime heavy use) or for special occasions/going out for the evening? If the latter I'm sure they'd be fine. I have problems with sling backs 'dropping' on my ankle but if you love these just get 'em!

Absolutely gorgeous! Love em but wouldn't be able to walk in them so would never buy :(.

They are gorgeous, I would buy them and try walking around the house in them as ASOS do free returns.

I have a similar pair and they're ok at staying on. I have suede heel grips on them and the strap quite firm
