Shoe advice for this dress please!

I have a family event coming up soon and I'm going to wear this dress with hair in an upstyle and a bit of jewellery to dress it up. I have to wear black tights because of my varicose vein (bleurrgh) and while I'm normally a bit of a rock chick type and would love the ankle boots in the pic, I need to wear dressy heels of some sort. I have skinny ankles but I'm a size 14 apple and like to wear shoes that are 'substantial' enough to balance me out and not make me look like an upside down triangle! Any fashinable suggestions?

Was sort of thinking those heels with the lacey up bits...kind of like irish dancing shoes but not sandals obviously as I'm wearing tights. (Btw I can't keep plain court shoes on my feet with tights if there's no strap)
