Tear trough fillers Manchester Area

Excellent thread a few days ago about dealing with under eye bags and lines pointed me in the direction of Loughborough for an ophthalmologist. I live in Manchester and would worry about going so far as Loughborough whilst DC are at school in case I had to go and collect them. So I need an ophthalmologist closer to home. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a doctor for tear trough fillers in Manchester - I have really annoying bags that bug the hell out of me and make me look 10 years older than I am.

If you can get to Alderley Edge, Jonquille Chantrey comes highly recommended. She's not an opthalmologist though, she's a plastic surgeon.

Saj Ataullah was recommended to me as a good guy in Manchester by a surgeon in London. I have no experience with him personally as I ended up having treatment by the London surgeon instead, Ramon Malhotra, who was bloody brilliant. Hope that helps a bit.

Thanks guys. I have a consultation planned with Jonquille but was a bit worried with her not being an ophthalmologist. I will check Mr Attaullah out as well - probably go for two consultations.
MsBojangles - can you tell me a little bit about your treatment? Did you get any bruising, did he use a cannula or a needle and was it just one entry point per eye? Any side effects - blurred vision? did you have restylane? also how much did it cost? I'm expecting Jonquille to be a fortune as she's quite high PR with TV appearances albeit on Jeremy Kyle (shudder!)

I actually had ptosis repair, a proper op though minor, to fix slightly droopy upper lids. Also had a little resty put underneath brow bones and a little along the top of my cheekbones to pad out those areas. With ageing related fat loss I'd noticed my eyes becoming rounder looking, losing their once pretty almond shape. Mr Malhotra asked me to bring along pics from my younger days to illustrate the changes. The op and resty worked wonders and basically gave me my almond eyes back, I can't praise the surgeon highly enough.

I had minimal bruising and swelling of the upper lids for a week or two, can't comment on the tear trough experience though but I would advise you to seek out a qualified Ophthalmologist/Oculoplastic surgeon. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable having a non specialist injecting that area, far too risky.

Thanks Bojangles - sounds like you definitely found a great surgeon. Glad you love the result so much.

I recently had flllers (supposedly) in my cheeks and have previously had fillers in my tear troughs. In my opinion they were both placed in exactly the same place and both left me with bruised looking lumps and bumps directly under my eyes.

I look marginally better than I looked before them, slightly less haggard to be fair, but nowhere near as good as I'd hoped given what they cost. I feel like I've partially solved one problem but created another. And the left and right sides are uneven.

I would say that if someone comes highly recommended and is highly qualified then pay whatever it costs to get it done properly and ask all the right questions beforehand about what the aftercare will be like if you are not happy with the result.
