Slippers that don't fall apart!

Title says it all really
I've gone through five pairs in the last year - they always fall apart after a couple of months. I just want a decent, hard wearing pair!

I have some Just Sheepskin. I got them five years ago and have worn them daily, they now have holes in the bottom but are still warm and comfy

Although expensive, Ugg slippers are amazing. So comfortable, and very hard wearing. They website often has sales on.

Nordika. Pricey but will last 2/3 years, especially the leather ones.

Sheepskin ones from the Natural Baby Shower company website
Mine are 3 years strong after daily wear, and comfy as anything

I tried M&S and sainsburys and both fell apart. I'm currently wearing a pair of men's boot slippers from fatface and we'll see how we go. Others haven't lasted more than a few months.

I have had a pair of Ugg slippers for about 10 years and they're still going strong! Expensive, but worth it.

I have a pair of Emu slippers. Got them as a gift for Christmas. They are expensive (I think around £75), but they're also far more hard wearing than any of the slippers I've bought from Sainsburys/Asda etc, which by now will have fallen apart. I expect them to last a good couple of years so in a way they are more cost effective than buying cheaper ones. I wear them daily.

I second Nordikas. I got a pair around 5 years ago just after I had my DS and my joints, especially my feet were really sore. I wanted slippers with more support as I was at home a bit more on mat leave. They are fantastic. I only replaced then this year as my new puppy chewed them Angry. They have strong, waterproof soles so you can wear them in the garden etc. Pricey but definitely worth it.

I've had Birki felt clogs - very hard wearing but not very snuggly and Dh has just bought me some north face foot duvets which are SO warm.

Ugg slippers. I wouldn't wear the boots out & about but the slippers are so cosy & comfortable, with a good sole.

I also give Ugg slippers a vote. Comfortable and hard wearing.

I LOVE my wool slippers - all wool so no sweaty feet and have a slight grip so no slipping over either. lanabambini.co.uk/store/boiled-wool-slippers-for-women-men.html

DH's Haflingers have lasted over 2 years and are still going strong. They are felted wool, and his have proper solid soles too.
I'll be getting some when my current (tesco's!) slippers die - only mine will be soft soles 'cause I like to tuck to curl up on the sofa!

I have the mahabis, and like them lots, although the poppered-on rubber sole can come adrift and slop about. And I have some Celtic sheepskin clogs, which are presentable enough to go out and about.

My £50 Just Sheepskin slippers only lasted 1 year (so really only 6m of use probably) before the inner pile had rubbed completely thin at points, and the non slip sole started to rub off - I nearly slipped over walking over our wooden floor holding days old DD! It was that point I binned them... John Lewis and Just Sheepskin could not have been less interested in my "not fit for purpose" moaning. Now I just buy a cheap pair from M&S or a supermarket and replace them each year. But teeny's wool slippers look nice and not too expensive...
