Going to Chicago on holiday in the summer,

Staying with family who are into lots of outdoor activities.

Will be doing mixture of sightseeing/tourist things in the city (lots of walking) and then heading to 'lake house' for relaxing, more walking, swimming, boating etc.

Any suggestions for shoes that fit the bill.

For packing purposes I would like to also travel in them (likely to be wearing navy HUSh harem pants) so they need to look a little 'fashionable' rather then just functional.

I like my Nike internationalists. Have them in green/turquoise colour way. V comfy. Could do some countryside walking (on clean pathways or dry grass) easily. Also look good with city clothes. Nike Roshe also are the blogger trainer of choice although they are pretty light weight

I was going to say Nike Roshe, they look lightweight but are comfy and i have found them very resilient for travelling too. Plus I've just binged them in the washing machine on my return and they came out fine!

I've had good Sketchers in the past, so comfy over long periods. TKMaxx often stock them. My latest Adidas gym trainers were from Sports Direct - they have a "quality" sportswear department now as well as the usual low-quality stuff, might be worth a browse.
