Any recommendations? Do you use a pure Vit C or one mixed with other ingredients like niacinamide or anything?

I like the serum from the Body Shop, use it approximately twice a week before moisturiser (different brand).

OOh, thanks. Do you mean this one?

Yes! The packaging has changed slightly since I bought mine but yes it seems to be the identical product. Body Shop always has samples to try in store so perhaps give that a go before buying...

I use that one one too, once a day in the morning, over my bb cream. So - I cleanse and tone, use usual moisturiser, then bb cream (I don't wear foundation as I find it too heavy), then that serum. You don't need much, and it feels fab.

All my stuff is body shop - they recommended the routine I use, I'm not gullible really and I have to say, it really works for my dry skin.

I'm mid 40s btw!

The Body Shop one that's a powder that mixes in with the solution is great (I find the one you've linked to too heavy on my skin) or if you've got money to spare, Dr Sebagh's powder is really good: Vit C decays really quickly, so powders are better, because they are more potent (= more effective) for longer.

I am just astonished by £100 for a tiny bit of vit c powder. Shock

I think i remember reading that Niacinamide cancels out the effectiveness of vitamin C so you shouldn't apply these actives in the same routine. I use Timeless Vit C serum in the am and a k beauty niacinamide serum in the pm.
