In search of the perfect jeans

Hi - I am on a seemingly endless quest to find that perfect pair of jeans. I have bought endless pairs over the years but I have yet to find a pair that have that perfect combination of style, fit and comfort. I'm after a skinny-ish fit and am around a size 10 but I'm tall and need at least a 33inch leg - sometimes a challenge! I've found the M&S 'sculpt and lift' range to be quite good and have also been through all the Next options but I'm looking for a more stylish jeans brand (nothing wrong with M&S of course) that might last a bit longer too. I have around £100 to spend. Any suggestions would be very gratefully received!! Thank you!

Place marking as this is my quest too
I recently bought these and love them www.oasis-stores.com///fcp-product/5611192?gclid=CNzfz7n43skCFdRuGwod2qYGhw but would like some more choice.

Topshop Jamie and Boden's High Rise skinny are both very nice!

I have tried hundreds of types of jeans and have lots of designer brands, but continually go back to Next. Great fit, never bag and very flattering cut.

Interesting thread.

I love skinny but really soft jeans.

I like the fit, look and feel of M&S limited high rise skinnies but they fade easily. Maybe for around £30 you can't expect much more than a year out of them.

Am googling these suggestions!

I like the Jasper Conran range of sculpted jeans you can buy in Debenhams. They come in different lengths (I am petite) and often they have 20% off.

Well, for me it's MiH, which I only discovered because I had a punt on a £30 pair from TK Maxx. They're amazing. Jeans are an eternal problem for me but these fit and are comfortable and look great. I can't afford any more so I basically treat them like my first-born child.

Thanks for sharing ideas. I will look into the suggestions in more detail! The Boden high rise super skinnies might be worth a try as they do longer length. I've tried their jeans before and never found them very comfy - can anyone tell me whether this style have any stretch in them?

One day that perfect pair of jeans will be mine!!

I bought myself a pair of Next slim'n'lift a while ago (I was a bit porky, tried on the 14 and the 12. Bought the 12 and thought "I'll lose weight" )

Well, I have lost weight. I've lost about a stone and a half. (Go Me Grin )

They fit nicely when I put them on then after an hour or so they're bagging round my arse and I could take them off without undoing Hmm

Need to buy a belt

I love warehouse jeans. Best fit I have found and not too pricey at around £40. Good quality and wash really well.

Lee jeans are great, I'm at the moment living in a pair of jeggings I bought at TK Maxx, they're honestly the most comfortable trousers I ever had, I can kneel and crawl after my toddler and they stay comfy. I also love their Norma (discontinued but can still find them on ebay) and Scarlett jeans, never buy any other brand.

Funnily enough, I was looking at these rubylovesshoes! They only go as long as 32" though - are these the ones that you say are long enough for your 34" legs??

Scrap that - they don't come in different lengths at all, but they're long enough? That sounds encouraging!

Are those Salsa ones soft?

Good question GlitteringJasper! My perfect jeans need to be soft - but not go baggy after an hour of wear!

The best jeans I own are River Island skinnies. I'd never have thought of them til a friend suggested them, and I now live in them. they do longer leg lengths, high and low cut waistbands and don't fade easily. They're not 100% perfect but after years of searching I don't think perfect jeans exist. Just good ones.
