Which make-up for my mum?

I want to buy my mum some make-up for her birthday just before Christmas. She's a bit frugal/stuck in the mud and sticks to Rimmel and original Maybelline Dream Lash mainly, so I'd like to take it up a level and treat her to a few nice bits, and show her that some products are worth paying a little more for.
She is 60 but quite glam with a bright blonde bob. Can anyone make any recommendations?

Take her to a Bobbi Brown counter for a "make up lesson" (their wording, not mine!) then buy her a couple of the products she likes best? There's never a hard sell, and I've even gone away without making a purchase at the time. t's advisable to book a slot if you can. BB sounds just the thing for your glam mum.
